I’ve been focusing on marketing all of my streams of Income right now and wanted to share with you a great place to gather online for business contacts.
Wow! It’s been a wild ride since I jumped on board the Internet more than 13 years ago!
Back then, you were lucky to make a connection to the Internet with a 33k modem and most of the information was text based or ftp to programs that were available.
Now, the dial up connection is fading well into second place because of all the available options for Internet connection.
You have DSL via a phone line, Cable speed via your cable wire and Satellite connection via a satellite service. And if you happen to be a company with the bucks, you can have a T-1 or T-3 connection directly to the trunk line of the Internet.
Now, I find, there is another option that will be available soon that will blow DSL and Cable out of the water!
It’s called T-1 WiFi and is being rolled out by a company called itsyournet.com. Click on the banner below for more information. The Internet future is shifting … again!
I planned on keeping this blog updated a lot more, but as usual, life tends to get in the way.
There was a recent death in the family and the past 6 weeks or so has been spent dealing with that whole scenario. That being said, I just have a quick post for updating and I’ll get back to more specific information in a day or two.
Running our own business can be a tough thing to deal with, especially if you have to leave it for any length of time. That’s when I discoved that you need to have a good amount of multiple streams of income to help in the slow times.

Since I’ve been using PC’s (or Personal Computers, as compared to the large ‘industrial’ computers that I used to work on in the 80’s and early 90’s) I’ve pretty much always used Norton as an anti virus program.
It was one of the first anti virus programs on the commercial market and the one that ‘geeks’ preferred most!
Before reading this article, it is important that I make a statement about something up front.
It is essential for you to understand, beyond a doubt, that there is no such thing as a secure operating system or web browser. While the use of security suites and other complementing products can significantly reduce your risks, they are not magic wands that you can wave to eliminate 100% of your risk. Any product claiming they can do this should be viewed with utter skepticism! Read the rest of this entry
Small to Mid sized businesses that use computers that are connected to the Internet are leaving their business data in excessive danger!
A study recently completed by a US government security agency listed some alarming statistics that every business owner needs to know about. The study states that nearly 9 out of 10 organizations related to the study that they had computer security incidents in 2005. Even worse, more than 20% of those organizations indicated that they experienced 20 or more attacks on their computers. Read the rest of this entry
As a computer consultant and trainer, I’ve seen many, many instances of computers “infested” with viruses and spyware!Almost all of the people who used their computers that I cleaned up were not even aware of the security issues for computers and the danger that it presented for them.
Today there are many people who rely on their computers to do work, homework, keep in contact with family and friends, do their shopping, run their finances and create pictures or videos. Therefore, it is important for all of this personal information on the computer to be stored safely and kept properly. It is also extremely important for people to protect their computer from identity theft, data loss, misuse, and abuse.Read the rest of this entry
